National NEV marque Proton e.MAS has taken the main stage at KLIMS 2026 to reveal the new, top-spec variant for its best-selling SUV model, known as the Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus.
The Premium Plus model gains several improvements over the previous top-spec Premium, notably a larger 68.39-kWh LFP battery pack that promises up to 450 km of WLTP range, plus other minor equipment changes.

Now available for purchase, the now locally-assembled e.MAS 7 Premium Plus retails at RM125,800, but early bird buyers can get this EV SUV with a special rebate worth RM7,000, thus bringing its price down to RM118,800. Said price is inclusive of a standard 6-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for the high-voltage battery and related EV components.
There’s also the special launch package that includes up to a RM5,000 trade-in rebate, a complimentary 7 kW home charger worth RM1,500, a V2L adapter worth RM500, a five-year unlimited data plan worth RM1,800, and a complimentary tonneau cover—all totaling up to RM8,800.
Bigger Battery, Faster Charging
Just like its Thai twin we saw at BIMS 2026 earlier this year, the new e.MAS 7 Premium Plus benefits from a battery upgrade, with its capacity now jumping to 68.39 kWh to provide a longer WLTP range of up to 450 km—40 km more than the e.MAS 7 Premium’s 410 km WLTP figure.
To go with its larger battery pack, this new top-spec e.MAS 7 also gets a faster DC charger that can go up to 115 kW, enabling the EV SUV to be charged from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes. AC charging, however, is still capped at 11 kW as before.

Power remains unchanged for the new Premium Plus, where it gets the same single, front-mounted (FWD) electric motor delivering 218 PS and 320 Nm.
But given its larger battery pack that adds an extra 50 kg (now 1,815 kg) over the Premium, the new e.MAS 7 Premium Plus is slightly slower on the straight line, taking 7.4 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h as opposed to the Premium’s 7.1-second century sprint time.
Unchanged Exterior, New Interior Equipment
Exterior design remains unchanged for the new e.MAS 7 Premium Plus, where it gets the same 19-inch alloy wheels and exterior colour options as its lower-spec sibling.
Mind you, its Thai equivalent, the 2026 Geely EX5 Max+, is offered with the new Emerald Green exterior colour, although that same colourway is instead being given to its hybrid twin, the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV.
Inside is where things have slightly changed, as the top-spec e.MAS 7 Premium Plus gets an additional massage function for both the front seats on top of the existing ventilation function. The front passenger seat also comes with a built-in leg rest for better passenger comfort.
Other amenities are largely carried over from the Premium variant, including the 16-speaker Flyme Audio sound system, the 15.4-inch 2.5K central infotainment screen, the large panoramic sunroof, and many more.
