It has been over half a year since the smart #5 was launched in Malaysia, and PRO-NET has finally introduced a new Laser Red Edition for the top-spec Brabus variant of this EV SUV.
This new colour option is said to “reflect the dynamic spirit of the Brabus brand”, where it will be offered in limited quantities, and interested customers can check them out at any nearby smart Malaysia outlets.
Price Update for 2026 Models
While customers can get the smart #5 Brabus Laser Red Edition with no additional price changes over the standard versions, it appears that PRO-NET has also silently revised the price for both the #5 Premium and #5 Brabus.
For the 2026 models, the #5 Premium now starts at RM209,800, whereas the #5 Brabus, including the new #5 Brabus Laser Red Edition, is now priced at RM259,800. This price change sees both the #5 variants increased by RM10,000 from their original launch price back in Nov 2025.
Besides the pricing and new exterior colour, the rest of the car remains largely unchanged, as the #5 Brabus is still powered by the same dual-motor AWD setup rated at 645 PS and 710 Nm to enable it a quick century sprint time of just 3.8 seconds.
Juice is provided by a large 100 kWh NMC battery pack that provides up to 540 km of WLTP range. Charging-wise, the #5 Brabus can accept up to 400 kW of DC fast charging that enables the EV SUV to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 15 minutes.
