The Chery Tiggo 7 continues to solidify its position within the C-segment SUV space, where it became the only Chinese-branded car to achieve the highest five-star safety ratings from all four leading global automotive safety authorities.
As of Dec 2025, this C-SUV has secured a full five-star score in top vehicle crash test protocols such as the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP), Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP), New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP), and China New Car Assessment Program (C-NCAP).

Five-Star Safety Grand Slam
Out of the four crash tests conducted, the latest one partaken by the Tiggo 7 was our region’s own ASEAN NCAP test, where the C-SUV secured a five-star rating with a record-setting score of 94.68 points—the highest in the organisation’s history since its founding in 2011.
Part of the Tiggo 7’s record-breaking feat is the perfect scores in both Adult Occupant Protection and Safety Assist, making it the only plug-in hybrid model to obtain a ‘double perfect score.’

Not to mention, this C-SUV’s Level 2+ intelligent driver assistance system is also designed for Southeast Asia’s challenging traffic with dense motorcycle movement, with both the blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert playing a crucial role in addressing this issue.

Also impressive is that the Tiggo 7 managed to secure its five-star score from both the Euro NCAP and Australia’s ANCAP within a short period of time, thus demonstrating the SUV’s ability to meet some of the world’s strictest safety standards, no matter where it is sold.
On a broader scale, the Tiggo 7’s strong performance across global safety programmes ultimately demonstrates Chery’s commitment to delivering vehicles that combine advanced technology with high safety standards for all top global markets, be they in China, Europe, Australia, or Southeast Asia.
