Following its booking commencement and maiden public debut at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026 (KLIMS 2026), Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia has finally launched the updated version of its compact EV crossover hatch, the 2026 Zeekr X.

The 2026 update brings a series of minor design changes and key equipment improvements to Zeekr X, plus slightly higher asking prices of RM158,800 for the entry-level Premium RWD variant and RM175,800 for the Flagship AWD.

Both variants get the same five-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, plus an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty for high-voltage components. At launch, the 2026 Zeekr X is sold with a complimentary one-year data package offering 5GB per month.

Upgraded Powertrain & Battery Specs

Part of the 2026 update sees the new Zeekr X gaining some powertrain upgrades, where the Premium RWD variant now features a peppier single rear motor setup rated at 340 PS and 373 Nm to enable a quicker century sprint time of 5.3 seconds.

The Flagship AWD also gets a power-up, where its dual-motor AWD setup is now capable of delivering up to 496 PS and 573 Nm, allowing this compact crossover hatch to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds—0.1 second quicker than before.

Battery-wise, the Premium spec gets a 66-kWh NMC battery pack that is good for up to 445 km of WLTP range—a slight increase over the previous version’s 440 km WLTP figure. The Flagship version uses the same NMC unit as the Premium, although its claimed WLTP range drops down to 415 km in favour of performance.

Both variants share the same 150 kW DC charging capabilities that see their NMC pack going from 10-80% in around 30 minutes, although the Premium RWD gets a slower AC charging speed of 11 kW over the Flagship AWD’s 22 kW AC charging rate.

Very Minor Design Changes

Visually, the updated 2026 Zeekr X looks pretty identical to its previous version, still featuring a sporty compact crossover hatch bodystyle with some familiar design elements adopted from other Zeekr models.

Having said that, the 2026 update does bring three new exterior colour options to this EV crossover, namely Onyx Black and Matte Khaki for the Flagship AWD and Porcelain Pink for the Premium RWD.

Other exterior changes are the new 19-inch wheels on the Premium, a new gloss black finish for the 20-inch multi-spoke wheels on the Flagship, and powered front doors for both variants, which can be operated via buttons on B- and C-pillars. Speaking of B-pillars, there’s a new interactive screen placed here that displays the car’s charging status.

More Buttons, Bigger Boot

The minor changes continue inside the new X, where its compact cabin gets new touch buttons on its steering wheel, while the central console now houses two 50-watt Qi wireless chargers with cooling vents. Also added here is the new heated and cooling 5.7-litre storage compartment under the armrest, while its boot space grows from 362 litres to 404 litres.

Other amenities primed here are largely carried over from the previous version, including the 14.6-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the smaller 8.8-inch digital metre cluster, the 13-speaker Yamaha audio system, and many more.
