- 2026 D-Max 3.0L 4X4 AT X-Terrain – RM162,938
All variants of the 2026 D-Max come standard with a 5-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, except for the top-spec X-Terrain, where it comes with an extended 7-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty instead.
Not to forget, Isuzu Malaysia is also offering 2 years or 20,000 km of free periodic maintenance for all variants of the 2026 D-Max, covering basic services like lubricants, filters, and labour charges.
Out with the Old, In with the New
For the 2026 model, the Malaysian-spec D-Max gets a new 2.2-litre 4-cyl DDi turbodiesel engine rated at 163 PS (120 kW) and 400 Nm, which Isuzu described as its “Best Engine Ever”, and making Malaysia the second-ever Asian market to get this engine.
More importantly, this new 2.2 DDI mill replaces the outgoing 1.9-litre turbodiesel mill used on the previous model, meaning that all previous D-Max variants that use the 1.9-litre engine will now feature this new oil burner.

Besides better power output, Isuzu also claims that the new mill features up to 56% more start-up torque and 5% better fuel efficiency over the previous model while meeting the strict Euro 5 emission standards.

Also new here is the 8-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift that is offered to all 2.2 DDi variants of the 2026 D-Max, including the D-Max 2.2L 4X4 AT Single Cab, making it the first single-cab pick-up truck on the market to feature an automatic transmission option.
Having said that, buyers still can get the 2026 D-Max with the previous 3.0-litre 4-cyl turbodiesel engine that pairs with a six-speed AT gearbox, which is offered in the 4X4 MT Single Cab, 4X4 AT Premium, and the range-topping 4X4 AT X-Terrain variants.
Minor Exterior & Interior Changes
On the visual front, the 2026 D-Max looks largely unchanged from the previous facelift version, with this year’s model only featuring some minor changes inside and outside.
For starters, the new 2.2L 4X4 AT Single Cab variant comes in a new Mercury Silver colourway on top of the standard Splash White option offered to both its manual twins.
More changes took place on the mid-spec 4X4 Premium variants, with both the 3.0L and 2.2L versions getting new LED headlamp colour and a new front fog lamp bezel design, while their front radiator grille has been slightly redesigned, and the whole truck now rolls on new 18-inch ‘Machined spoke’ alloy wheels.
As for the colour options, both the Premium and X-Terrain variants feature a new Inishmore Green exterior colorway, while the Obsidian Grey option is only available for both the Premium and 4X2 Auto Plus variants.
Inside, the 2026 D-Max is now decked with more cabin amenities, including a new 10-inch central infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (Auto Plus, Premium, and X-Terrain), a smaller 7-inch touchscreen for the Standard trims, new leather upholstery (Premium and X-Terrain), a wireless charging pad, multiple USB-C charging ports, tailgate assist dampers (all Double Cab variants), and many more.
ADAS Available on Premium & X-Terrain Variants Only
Safety amenities remain unchanged across the board for the new 2026 D-Max, with only the two Premium variants and the top-spec X-Terrain model getting any active safety features.
The two Premium variants get both Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) as standards, while the X-Terrain features the most ADAS functions, including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and many more.

The safety bits for the three Single Cab variants remain unchanged too, with key features including two airbags, both traction (TCS) and stability (ESC) controls, a seat belt reminder, ABS with Braking Assist, Hill Start Assist (HSA), Hill Descent Control (HDC), and more.
