Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV Gains New Emerald Green Exterior Colourway

Barely two months into its debut in Malaysia, national new energy marque PRO-NET has already given the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV an update in the form of a new Emerald Green exterior colourway.

And similar to other existing colour options, buyers can get the new Emerald Green option without any additional costs, meaning that this PHEV SUV still retails from RM109,800 for the base Prime variant, RM123,800 for the Premium, and RM129,800 for the top-spec Premium Plus.

Six Colourways Now Available at No Extra Cost

The new Emerald Green colourway joins the existing colour options such as Obsidian Black, Lithium White, Mercury Silver, Galena Grey, and Aquamarine Blue, thus bringing the total options to six now—all without any additional costs.

Having said that, the interior colourway option remains unchanged for now, as buyers can choose either the Alabaster White or Onyx Black options.

The rest of the car remains unchanged from the original launch version two months ago, still featuring the same EM-i plug-in hybrid powertrain system with a 1.5-litre 4-cyl nat-asp petrol engine rated at 99 PS and 125 Nm as its base.

Said engine is then mated to a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) with a 218 PS and 262 Nm-rated electric motor integrated into it, where they combine to deliver a total system output of 262 PS and 262 Nm.

Depending on the variant, buyers can get the e.MAS 7 PHEV with either a smaller 18.4 kWh LFP unit (Prime & Premium) or a larger 29.8 kWh Geely Aegis short-blade LFP unit for the Premium Plus. Charging-wise, all variants of the e.MAS 7 PHEV support both 60 kW DC and 7 kW AC charging methods.
