The Perodua Bezza has claimed the number one spot for Feb 2026, as the economical A-segment sedan edges close rival Proton Saga for the top vehicle sales spot last month.

According to the latest Road Transport Department (JPJ) vehicle registration data, a total of 7,031 units of Bezza were sold last month, while the Saga drops to second place with 6,007 units.

Perodua Dominates Top 5 List, Proton e.MAS 5 Retains No. 1 EV Position

Besides the top spot, the second national automaker also completes the remaining top five places with the Axia (5,306 units), Myvi (4,317 units), and Alza (3,205 units).

The P2 trio, however, was being trailed closely by Proton’s recently-updated duo, namely the S70 sedan (1,940 units) and the X50 crossover (1,818 units). Speaking of the X50, its new P2 rival, the Traz, is placed sixth with 1,710 units sold last month.

Rounding off the top-ten list for Feb 2026 are the Toyota Hilux (1,677 units) and the Proton e.MAS 5 (1,562 units), with the latter becoming the only EV to make it into the top-ten list while retaining its position as Malaysia’s number one EV model for the second consecutive month.

Chery, Omoda | Jaecoo, BYD Listed on Top 10 Best-Selling Car Brands

Given its strong performance last month, it comes as no surprise that Perodua retains its position as Malaysia’s best-selling car brand in Feb 2026 with 23,575 units sold, whereas Proton is trailing behind at second place with 13,447 units.

While the top ten list consists of usual suspects like Toyota (3rd, 6,993 units) and Honda (4th, 3,379 units), three Chinese brands have made into the list last month, with Chery even making into the top-five list with 938 units sold.

Its sister brand, Omoda | Jaecoo, follows closely at sixth place with 901 units sold, while BYD barely made it into the top-ten list with 469 units sold, overtaking BMW (449 units) at 11th place by just 20 units.

Rounding off the top ten car brands are Mitsubishi (7th, 889 units), Mercedes-Benz (8th, 659 units), and Isuzu (9th, 527 units).
