Our KLIMS 2026 coverage continues with Jetour Malaysia, who just opened the order books for its first-ever plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model, the upcoming Jetour T2 i-DM.
Standing for ‘Intelligence Dual Mode,’ this rugged, off-road-ready PHEV SUV has made its first Malaysian public appearance at KLIMS 2026 and is now available for order with an estimated price of RM168,888.
Off-Road-Ready PHEV SUV with Two Motors
Unlike its now popular pure combustion twin, the upcoming T2 i-DM is powered by Jetour’s proprietary plug-in hybrid powertrain setup with a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbocharged petrol engine as its core.
Said four-banger mill is then mated to two electric motors and a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) to deliver a combined output of 360 PS and 610 Nm, making it significantly more powerful than its 2.0T combustion twin, which is only rated at 245 PS and 375 Nm.

As for its battery, Jetour Malaysia did not specify the exact capacity, but we knew that the T2 i-DM in overseas markets is offered with either a 26.7-kWh or a larger 43.24-kWh battery option.

Nevertheless, the company did say that the Malaysian-spec T2 i-DM is good for up to 100 km of pure electric range and 1,200 km of combined driving range. Mind you, Jetour Malaysia did not specify which driving cycles these figures are based on, but it would likely be the more lenient NEDC given the big numbers.
Similar Visuals & Equipment as T2 2.0T
At one glance, it appears that the T2 i-DM looks identical to its PHEV twin, including the tailgate-mounted storage compartment, the rugged exterior bodystyle, and even the 20-inch wheels it rolls on—albeit they are now shod in standard tyres instead of A/T tyres on the T2 2.0T.
Again, not many detailed specifications were given by Jetour Malaysia, but it appears that the T2 i-DM will feature similar cabin amenities to its ICE twin, which include things like the 15.6-inch infotainment screen, the 10.25-inch digital metre cluster, the 12-speaker Sony audio system, ambient lights, a panoramic glass roof, leatherette upholstery, a crystal gear knob, and Level 2 ADAS functions.
Final Production-Spec T1 Shown
Besides the new T2 i-DM, Jetour Malaysia’s booth at KLIMS 2026 also features the upcoming Jetour T1 in its final local production spec.
First previewed at the Penang Autoshow 2026 last month, this less rugged and more urban-oriented twin to the T2 is available in two variants, namely the entry-level 1.5L TGDi 2WD and the top-spec 2.0L TGDi XWD.
Bookings can also be made for the upcoming T1 with estimated price tags of RM143,800 for the 2WD and RM153,800 for the XWD.
