Almost two months since its official debut at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026 (KLIMS 2026), Honda Malaysia has celebrated the ownership journeys of three customers of its new Prelude hybrid sports coupe.
Officiated by Honda Malaysia managing director Narushi Yazaki, this event highlighted a shared joy between Honda and its customers, where each of the three new Prelude owners reflected their shared passion for this iconic nameplate.
First Three New Prelude Owners Celebrated
This appreciation event brought together three new Prelude owners—Mr. Gan Ker Beng, Mr. Wahiduzaman Bin Abu Kashim, and Dr. Davina Navreet Kaur.
While coming from diverse backgrounds, these owners share a common appreciation for the Preludeʼs distinctive character and refined driving experience, even in this new semi-electrified form.

Hailing from Johor Bahru, Mr. Gan shared his deep connection to this sports coupe: “I have a long history with Honda. My first Honda was a Civic back in the 1990s, and at that time, I already had my eyes on the Prelude. It was my dream car when I was younger, but I could not afford one then. So, when Honda announced the return of the Prelude to Malaysia, I knew I wanted to own one.”
“Being able to finally own a Prelude today really feels like a dream come true. For me, it is not about how fast the car can go or its performance figures, it is the Prelude name, the memories I have with it, and my connection with Honda over the years that make this car special to me,” Mr. Gan continued.

Mr. Wahiduzaman, a business owner from Kuala Lumpur and a long-time Honda enthusiast, said, “I have been a Honda owner for many years, and I have always enjoyed their performance-oriented character and the adventures we had on the road. As my lifestyle evolved, I was looking for a car that strikes the perfect balance between driving enjoyment and everyday comfort, and I knew the Prelude was the one!”

Completing the trio is Dr. Davina, an endodontist, who selected the new Prelude as her very first Honda. “Growing up, I would always see the classic Preludes in my Subang neighbourhood, admiring them from afar. Owning a red coupe has also been a dream of mine since I was a teenager, and as a huge fan of Honda’s hybrid technology, the moment the Prelude was launched, I immediately fell in love and placed a booking right away, without a test drive. Today, I finally own my dream red sports coupe, and it is a Prelude!”

Commenting on this first delivery celebration, Honda Malaysia MD Narushi Yazaki commented, “The return of the iconic All-New Prelude is a declaration of Honda’s spirit. We are honoured to celebrate this special occasion with our owners, whose appreciation for the Prelude reflects the strong connection between Honda and our customers.”
To recap, the all-new 2026 Honda Prelude is now available on sale in Malaysia, priced at RM278,000 on-the-road (OTR) sans insurance for a fully imported (CBU) model from Japan.
Said price is also inclusive of a standard 5-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, a separate 10-year unlimited mileage warranty for the battery and other related hybrid components, as well as five times free labour service within five years or 100,000 km.
