M-TEC Co., Ltd. — better known as Mugen — has officially announced the launch of a dedicated aero components series and sport exhaust system for the Honda Prelude.
The announcement made on 8 January 2026 will see these products rolled out progressively through Honda Cars dealerships, authorised Mugen retailers, and selected accessories outlets worldwide.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in stages from 24 April 2026.
The Gliding Sports Coupe Concept
The development of these Mugen components for the Prelude is rooted in the Gliding Sports Coupe concept — the same philosophy that underpins the new Prelude itself.
The range is tailored specifically for owners who care deeply about the two things that matter most in a great car: style and driving performance.
Every piece in this lineup is designed to further amplify the sporty identity and sense of speed that Mugen has always been synonymous with.
Carbon Aerodynamics
The key components introduced in this series include:
- Front: A carbon front under spoiler designed to accentuate the sweeping body lines, complete with side fins for added visual aggression
- Sides: Carbon side skirts that serve as a sporty visual extension along the lower profile of the car
- Rear: Two key components — a carbon rear under spoiler that continues the design language from front to side, and a carbon rear under diffuser that gives the tail end a proper motorsport-inspired look
- Spoiler: A carbon tailgate spoiler is also offered for owners who want that extra edge on the roofline
Sport Exhaust System
Mugen hasn’t forgotten about the soundtrack either. The sport exhaust system has been exclusively tuned for the Prelude, developed to produce a powerful, deep bass note from low RPM all the way to the redline.
Drivers who make use of Honda’s S+Shift feature will notice a noticeably more linear and emotionally engaging exhaust response — exactly the kind of thing that makes a spirited drive that much more rewarding.
On the cosmetic side, the exhaust finisher tips are finished in black, ensuring a cohesive and premium look that ties in seamlessly with the rest of the carbon components.
