Following its first public appearance at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2026) earlier this year, the long-awaited Jetour T2 i-DM has finally made its local market debut, taking place in conjunction with the Malaysia Sarong Music Run 2026 at the Petronas Twin Tower.
Priced at RM162,800, this plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV becomes the first electrified model to be launched by Jetour Malaysia, featuring the brand’s 1.5-litre PHEV powertrain that promises up to 1,200 km of travel range.
Included with said price is a 7-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, a separate 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for its high-voltage battery, a 10-year or 1 million km engine warranty, and five times free service sessions.
The first 2,000 registrations will also be entitled to an Early Bird package worth up to RM3,000, which includes a complimentary 7 kW AC wallbox charger or RM2,000 worth of charging credit, along with a complimentary V2L adapter cable.
Jetour Malaysia’s First PHEV Model
As detailed prior, the T2 i-DM is Jetour Malaysia’s first electrified model, featuring the brand’s proprietary Intelligent Dual-Mode (i-DM) hybrid system that uses a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbocharged dedicated hybrid engine mated to a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) and dual motor electric system.
Combined, this whole powertrain setup delivers 360 PS (265 kW) and 610 Nm, offering up to 1,200 km of combined driving range and over 100 km of pure electric driving range.
On the battery half, the T2 i-DM is equipped with an 18.4 kWh LFP battery pack that supports up to 57 kW of DC fast charging that sees a 30% to 80% charge to be completed in 27 minutes. AC charging, on the other hand, is capped at 6.6 kW, which fills up the pack from 30% to 100% in three hours.
Same Rugged Exterior & Posh Interior
As detailed prior, the T2 i-DM looks identical to its pure combustion twin, featuring a rugged exterior bodystyle with several adventure-ready pieces of equipment.
Some key exterior highlights include auto LED headlights with Jetour signature wordlight on the front grille, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel cover, a sideway-opening tailgate with soft closing function, 20-inch Trailblazer alloy wheels shod in standard tyres instead of A/T tyres on the 2.0T XWD variant, and a single Highway Grey exterior colour option.
Inside, the T2 i-DM continues to offer a premium and spacious cabin just like the 2.0T XWD model, featuring a two-row five-seater configuration with a large 580-litre cargo space.
