BMW Malaysia has further expanded its G45-gen X3 lineup by launching a new variant for this midsize SUV, the 2026 BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport, featuring a more potent version of the marque’s B48 turbocharged mild hybrid (MHEV) powertrain.
The new X3 30 xDrive M Sport is priced at RM358,800 on-road sans insurance or RM386,700 with the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI) package, which adds an extended five-year vehicle warranty and five years of servicing.
Most Powerful G45 X3 in Malaysia
Hiding beneath its hood is the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbocharged B48 petrol engine found on the lower-spec X3 20 xDrive M Sport, which is then integrated with a 48-volt mild hybrid system for better efficiency and provides a slight power boost when needed.
Power is then sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox and BMW’s proprietary xDrive all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.

In the case of the X3 30 xDrive M Sport, however, its total system output has been bumped to 258 PS and 400 Nm, enabling this midsize SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds en route to its 240 km/h V-max. This is enough to make it the most potent G45 X3 variant on sale in Malaysia, that is, before the B58-powered X3 M50 arrives.
Upgraded Exterior & Interior
While the earlier X3 20 xDrive variant already came with the M Sport package as standard, the new X3 30 xDrive M Sport further ups the ante with several additional M Sport-specific parts.
This includes the new 20-inch Style 1036 M bicolour alloy wheels shod in Continental EcoContact 6Q tyres measuring 255/45R20 in front and 285/40R20 at the rear, as well as the dark blue-hued M Sport brake calliperes. That said, the X3 30 still uses the same standard suspension setup as the X3 20 instead of the sportier M Sport suspensions.
Not to forget, buyers can get the X3 30 in four exterior colourways, namely Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Dune Grey, and Tanzanite Blue.
The M Sport theme continues inside the X3 30, with key highlights including the M Anthracite headliner, a flat-bottomed M Sport steering wheel, powered and ventilated front seats wrapped in black Veganza perforated synthetic leather upholstery, decorative M Sport metal door sills, and many more.
As for the tech amenities, the X3 30 comes standard with the BMW Curved Display setup featuring a 14.9-inch central touchscreen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a smaller 12.3-inch digital metre cluster. Rounding off the tech bits are the 15-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, multi-colour ambient lights, multiple USB-C ports, and a wireless charging pad.
