National EV marque PRO-NET today announced a new milestone for its Proton e.MAS brand, where more than 20,000 e.MAS cars are now on Malaysian roads, signifying its position as Malaysia’s number one new energy vehicle (NEV) brand.

Said achievement is driven by strong reception towards all Proton e.MAS models, where the e.MAS 7 becomes the main driving force with 10,067 units registered to date, followed by the e.MAS 5 EV hatch at 8,687 units.

e.MAS 7 PHEV – Malaysia’s No. 1 PHEV

EVs aside, the brand’s first and only plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model, the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV, is also having a fantastic start to 2026, with 1,755 units registered since its debut earlier this year, and after charting over 6,500 bookings along the way.

This alone is enough to put the e.MAS 7 PHEV as the best-selling PHEV model in Malaysia, thanks to the 1,013 units registered in April 2026 alone.

Nationwide EV Ecosystem Strengthened

As more and more Proton e.MAS NEVs are delivered to customers around Malaysia, PRO-NET is also scaling its nationwide ecosystem to ensure owners receive consistent support throughout their ownership journey.
This includes expanding dealer coverage, strengthening aftersales capacity, and improving access to EV charging support across key markets.

As of now, the Proton e.MAS network comprises 53 dealer operations nationwide, supported by 10 body and paint centres, with 3S centres expanding towards 40 locations in response to increasing customer demand.
In tandem, PRO-NET is also looking to expand its service capabilities and technical readiness to ensure faster turnaround times and improved customer convenience at the ground level.
