M3 Touring – BMW Malaysia’s First M3 Wagon
Starting with what perhaps is the biggest surprise at this showcase is the arrival of the BMW M3 Touring, making it the first M3 wagon to be launched by BMW Malaysia and its first wagon in years too.
Priced around RM60,000 higher than its sedan twin, the Malaysian-spec M3 Touring Competition M xDrive is powered by the infamous 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six S58 engine producing 530 PS and 650 Nm.

And as its name suggests, the M3 Touring comes standard with the M xDrive all-wheel-drive (AWD) system with an active M differential and a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic transmission that enables this fast wagon to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds before reaching its limited V-max of 250 km/h.
Based on the facelifted G81-gen model, the local-spec M3 Touring comes with design bits such as new vertically-oriented, arrow-shaped DRLs on its LED headlights, the 19- and 20-inch staggered set Style 825 M Bicolour Black forged alloy wheels, and two exterior colour options—Skyscraper Grey and Isle of Man Green.

While its front half looks similar to its sedan twin, the new M3 Touring gets a sleeker long-roofed wagon bodystyle that gives it a much larger 500-litre boot space, plus a split-open tailgate.
Beyond those, the innards of the new M3 Touring are quite sporty indeed, with some key highlights including:
- BMW Curved Display: 14.9-inch infotainment, 12.3-inch digital metre cluster
- M carbon fibre bucket seats wrapped in Merino leather
- M seat belts, M carbon fibre interior trim, M anthracite headliner, M steering wheel wrapped in M Alcantara
- 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system
- BMW Driving Assistant Professional + Parking Assistant Plus
M2 CS – BMW’s Most Hardcore Coupe
Moving on to the M2 CS, this lightweight coupe stands as the most extreme version of the second-gen (G87) 2 Series coupe, featuring a series of performance upgrades to make it the most potent M2 ever made.

Beneath its well-sculpted hood lies the same S58 engine as the M3 Touring that is rated at 530 PS and 650 Nm. But unlike the wagon, the M2 CS is strictly rear-wheel drive (RWD), and power is sent there via an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission and M Sport differential to enable a quick century sprint time of 3.8 seconds and a V-max of 302 km/h.
As for the visuals, the M2 CS is loaded with carbon fibre parts and a series of slight design changes, including the M carbon roof, a sportier rear diffuser, a redesigned kidney grille with optimised air inlets, and a staggered set of 19-inch and 20-inch style 827 M forged alloy wheels finished in Gold Bronze.
To shed as much weight as it can, the new M2 CS is loaded with lightweight carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) components, which resulted in the car being 30 kg lighter than the non-CS M2.
Despite this strict diet, the new M2 CS still gets a pretty livable cabin, featuring amenities such as:
- BMW Live Cockpit Professional: 14.9-inch infotainment screen + 12.3-inch digital metre cluster
- M Carbon bucket seats with Merino leather upholstery
- 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system
- Triple-zone climate control
- Wireless charging tray, ambient lights
218 Gran Coupe M Sport – BMW’s Entry-Level Sedan, Now Sportier
Last is the new 218 Gran Coupe M Sport, which is the sportier, more well-equipped version of the F74-gen 2 Series Gran Coupe launched last year.

Locally assembled (CKD) at the Inokom plant in Kulim, the 218 Gran Coupe M Sport bears little to no performance changes over its previous, non-M Sport predecessor, featuring the same 1.5-litre 3-cyl turbocharged B38 engine rated at 156 PS and 230 Nm.
Power is sent to the front wheels (FWD) via a seven-speed Steptronic DCT gearbox that propels the sedan from 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds before reaching its limited V-max of 235 km/h.
The M Sport treatment does bring one particular mechanical upgrade, which is the Adaptive M Sport dampers. The rest of the changes, however, are mostly cosmetics, including the M Sport bodykit with high-gloss Shadowline trim, BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille, and 18-inch Style 975 M alloy wheels.
The M Sport-ification continues inside with the M leather multifunction steering wheel and M anthracite headliner, while both the Harman Kardon audio system and the head-up display are now for this model.
Other cabin amenities primed here include a 10.7-inch infotainment display running BMW OS 9, a smaller 10.25-inch digital metre cluster, powered front seats, and many more.
