The 2026 Honda City Hatchback facelift has officially been launched in Malaysia, weeks after its booking commencement and production rollout.
The second facelift version of this compact hatch arrives in just three variants, with prices starting from RM95,900 for the V, RM100,900 for the petrol RS, and RM112,900 for the top-spec e:HEV RS. Across all variants, the new City Hatchback facelift is priced RM1,000 more expensive than its sedan counterpart.

As standard, all variants of the new City Hatchback come with an 8-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and five times free labour service within five years or 100,000 km, while the e:HEV RS variant gets a separate 10-year unlimited mileage hybrid battery and component warranty.
On top of those on-the-road prices, Honda Malaysia is also offering a RM4,000 cash reward upon registration, and current Honda owners who trade in their car through the Honda Certified Used Car programme will get an extra RM2,000 rebate, while those trading in cars from any other brand will get a RM1,000 rebate instead.
Unchanged Powertrain Specs
Given that this is a mere second facelift treatment, the powertrain lineup for the new City Hatchback remains unchanged, featuring both the full combustion i-VTEC and Honda’s proprietary e:HEV series-parallel hybrid system.
The full combustion version uses Honda’s tried-and-tested 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated DOHC i-VTEC engine that makes 121 PS and 145 Nm, with said power being delivered to the front wheels (FWD) via a CVT automatic gearbox.

As for the hybrid version, it still uses Honda’s proprietary i-MMD e:HEV hybrid powertrain setup, comprising a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder Atkinson-cycle petrol engine rated at 98 PS and 127 Nm, which is paired to an electric traction motor that makes 109 PS and 253 Nm.
Sleeker Exterior
As detailed prior, the new City Hatchback gets the same facelift treatment given to its sedan twin, featuring some significant exterior changes and a series of minor equipment upgrades.
The design changes start with the front fascia, where all variants of the new City Hatchback get the new front face featuring sharp LED headlights with a connecting LED light bar, plus a sleeker front bumper design. The front fascia is complemented by the new 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels that are now finished in a Berlina Black and Dark Clear, exclusively available for the RS variant.
The facelift treatment slightly fades away at the rear part, where this new hatch gains a more aggressive rear bumper design with diffuser-like design elements finished in matching gloss black for the RS version. Also present here are the albino LED taillights with a smoked tint, while both the RS and e:HEV emblems are reserved for this top-spec variant.
Improved Interior with Better Safety Equipment
The second facelift treatment continues inside the car, where it receives an upgraded front dashboard with a refined 3D pattern mid-garnish and ambient lights.

This is complemented by the new 10-inch central touchscreen that now supports the new 360-degree multi-view camera system, plus wireless mobile connectivity (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay).

Regarding safety, this compact hatch also gets the same safety equipment upgrades as its sedan twin, including the Blind Spot Information (BSI) and Cross Traffic Monitoring (CTM) functions in its Honda Sensing ADAS suite.
Having said that, other existing ADAS-related functions, particularly the Honda LaneWatch camera, are all still available on the new City Hatchback
