iCaur Malaysia has announced the commencement of the local assembly (CKD) operations for its iCaur 03 RWD EV SUV, further strengthening its commitment to Malaysian EV buyers.
This production commencement comes four months after the all-wheel-drive iCaur 03 iWD began its CKD operations back in May 2026, completing the locally assembled lineup for the iCaur 03 model here in Malaysia.
Same Specs as CBU Unit, No Price Changes
Despite now being locally assembled at Chery Corporate Malaysia’s plant in Shah Alam, the iCaur 03 RWD CKD maintains its fully-imported (CBU) twin’s introductory price of RM119,740.
More importantly, the 03 RWD CKD also shares the same specifications and equipment list as its CBU twin. This boxy EV SUV is still powered by the same RWD motor setup rated at 184 PS and 220 Nm, offering up to five selectable driving modes.
Power is drawn from a 65.7-kWh LFP battery pack that iCaur claims can provide up to 426 km of NEDC range to this EV SUV. Said battery pack also supports up to 80 kW of DC fast charging, while AC charging is capped at only 6.6 kW as standard.
While its production started in Sept 2026, iCaur Malaysia said first deliveries for the new iCaur 03 RWD CKD are scheduled to commence later in Oct 2026, with the CKD units currently available in limited supply.
