Following their inaugural public debuts at the Malaysia Bike Show 2026 (MBS 2026) earlier this year, Cyclone Malaysia has officially launched its new maxi scooter duo—the Cyclone RT2S and Cyclone RT5.

Launched in conjunction with the grand opening of the new Mforce Smartshop KW Keat Wei Motor Sdn. Bhd. in Langgar, Alor Setar, this new maxi scooter duo is now available for purchase at prices listed below:

  • 2026 Cyclone RT2S – RM13,888 excluding road tax and insurance
  • 2026 Cyclone RT5 – RM16,888 excluding road tax and insurance

Mind you, these prices are inclusive of a standard 2-year or 20,000 km warranty, while the engine components get a separate 2-year or unlimited mileage warranty instead.

Cyclone RT2S – Sporty 250-cc Urban Scooter

Starting with the RT2S, this sporty, urban-centric scooter is powered by a 247-cc single-cylinder four-stroke liquid-cooled DOHC engine that produces 26.5 PS (19.5 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 24.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

Typical of any maxi scooter, said engine is mated to an automatic belt-drive transmission for smooth and responsive power delivery, as well as a large 12.6-litre fuel tank for easier long-distance commuting.

In terms of hardware, the RT2S comes standard with a telescopic fork at the front and a spring-damper system at the rear, while braking is done by single disc brakes measuring 270 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear, complemented by an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard.

Rolling stocks for the RT2S are measured at 14 inches for the front and 13 inches for the rear, and the whole bike tips the scale at 179 kg with a seat height of 750 mm.

Available in two colourways—Prestige Black and Strong Grey—the RT2S is equipped with full LED lighting units on both ends, a TFT display metre, a smart key system, a Type-A USB charging port, a side stand safety switch, and backlit LED buttons.

Rounding off the amenities list are the front storage pocket on the left side, front and rear dashcams, an adjustable windscreen, as well as both traction control (TCS) and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Cyclone RT5 – Touring-Ready 250-cc Scooter

Moving on to the RT5, this is billed as a more touring-ready option of the two, where it is powered by a 246.9-cc single-cylinder four-stroke liquid-cooled engine producing 26.5 PS (19.5 kW) and 24.5 Nm, and is paired with an automatic belt-drive transmission and automatic clutch.

Befitting its touring-ready moniker, the RT5 gets a larger 18-litre fuel tank for greater practicality on longer journeys, while the electronic fuel injection (EFI), mechanical throttle, and electric starting system help ensure efficient and responsive engine performance.

Some key mechanical bits featured here include a telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear, disc brakes for both the front and rear BOSCH systems and dual-channel ABS, as well as both traction (TCS) and tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).

Available in three exterior colourways—Prestige Black, Alabaster White, and Strong Grey—the new RT5 runs on 120/70-15 M/C front and 140/60-14 M/C rear tyres—both shod in alloy wheels. The whole bike tips the scale at 190 kg with a seat height of 780 mm.

Other key amenities and equipment primed here include:

  • TFT metre display with Carbit Ride app connectivity
  • Smart keyless system with backlit LED buttons
  • USB-A and USB-C charging ports
  • Dual-side dashcams
  • Motorised side mirrors & centre stand
  • Full LED lights
  • Blind Spot Detection (BSD) system
  • Parking brake
