Boon Siew Honda (BSH) Malaysia has expanded its small scooter lineup with the introduction of the new 2026 Honda PCX160, marking a return of this beloved nameplate into the Malaysian market after a six-year absence.
First introduced in 2012 before being discontinued in 2020, the new PCX160 arrives in a single variant equipped with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, where it is tagged with a recommended retail price (RRP) of RM12,998.
As standard, said price is inclusive of a 2-year or 20,000 km manufacturer’s warranty, with the bike itself scheduled to arrive in Honda Impian X and Boon Siew Honda authorised dealers from Oct 14 onwards. Customers who trade in their old PCX150 for the new PCX160 will also enjoy an additional one-year extended warranty under the Honda X-Tend Warranty scheme.
Same Engine as ADV160
Powering the new PCX160 is a familiar, 157-cc single-cylinder four-stroke liquid-cooled SOHC eSP+ engine that produces 15.8 PS and 14.7 Nm—the same engine used on the ADV160.
Said engine is then mated to a V-matic automatic transmission and belt drive, plus a sizable 8.1-litre fuel tank that Honda claims is good for up to 350 km of range—provided that you can reach its claimed fuel consumption rate of 2.3 litres per 100 km.
Some other key hardware featured here includes single hydraulic disc brakes on both front and rear with single-channel ABS, 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheels with a 110/70 front tyre and 130/70 rear tyre, telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers with gas tanks, and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).

BSH’s Latest Compact Maxi-Style Scooter
Riding on the current trend of urban scooters, the new PCX160 now arrives as BSH’s latest compact maxi scooter model.
The latest version of this bike was first unveiled globally back in 2024 at the EICMA show, where it features some fresh design bits while retaining the PCX’s signature sleek and spacious overall design.
Some new design highlights include full LED headlights with V-shaped LED DRLs, slim LED taillights with integrated LED turn signals, a built-in front windscreen, and two colour options—Grey and White.
Honda RoadSync Available
Despite its compact size, the new PCX160 is packed with some of the latest amenities, with the biggest highlight being the 5-inch TFT LCD screen that comes with the Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity as standard—making it one of two small Honda bikes to feature this tech in Malaysia, alongside the ADV160.
Other key amenities primed here include a USB-C charging port inside the front cowl storage, a Honda Smart Key system, a large 30-litre underseat storage, a new multi-function switch on the left side of the handlebar, and many more.
