National automaker Perodua has just announced the price revision by up to RM4,700 for the D74A-gen Perodua Axia, effective immediately from Aug 3, 2026, onwards.
- Axia 1.0G – RM33,900 (RM4,700 down from RM38,600)
- Axia 1.0X – RM38,500 (RM1,500 down from RM40,000)
- Axia 1.0SE – RM43,000 (RM1,000 down from RM44,000)
- Axia 1.0AV – RM49,000 (RM500 down from RM49,500)
According to its official statement, this price revision is part of the company’s continued improvements in its operational efficiency, while also reflecting its commitment to passing tangible value on to its customers amid current economic conditions.
Revised Pricing, Unchanged Specs
P2 insisted that despite this price revision, all specifications and quality standards for the Axia remain unchanged, with the cost savings derived entirely from process improvements and operational efficiencies.
As a refresher, the D74A-gen Axia underpins the same Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) platform as other P2 models such as the Ativa and Alza, and is powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cyl nat-asp 1KR-VE engine rated at 68 PS (50 kW) and 91 Nm, which is then mated to a CVT automatic gearbox.

“This price revision forms part of our ongoing efforts to ease the cost pressures currently faced by Malaysians,” said Perodua President and CEO Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.
“The revised pricing is the outcome of sustained, continuous improvement initiatives undertaken in close collaboration with our local suppliers and partners within the automotive ecosystem. We thank them (vendors and dealers) for extending their full cooperation in enhancing cost efficiency for the collective benefit of the industry and, by extension, all Malaysians,” Dato’ Sri Zainal continued.
With this price revision, the Perodua Axia has now become more affordable than ever, thus retaining its position as Malaysia’s most affordable car and ensuring continued accessibility of the model to a broader base of consumers nationwide.
