In case you think the current MINI Cooper SE EV is a bit too vanilla for your liking, then perhaps this limited-unit version may just scratch your itch, as MINI Malaysia debuts the all-new 2026 MINI Electric Paul Smith Edition.
Born from a collaboration with the renowned English fashion designer, this special MINI Electric will be available in limited numbers, each priced at RM222,222 on-the-road, or RM228,522 if you include the MINI Service and Repair Inclusive (MSRI) that comes with a four-year warranty and service package.

Two British Icons, Combined
Setting apart the Paul Smith Edition from other standard MINI Cooper EVs are a series of special design touches.
The most prominent highlight is easily the Nottingham Green accents scattered around the exterior, including on the side mirror caps, radiator grille, hub caps, and the hatch’s entire roof. The latter also includes Paul Smith’s signature colourful stripes across the roof edge for added specialty.
Elsewhere, the 18-inch ‘Slide Spoke’ wheels the hatch rides on are also finished in matching Nottingham Green, plus some Dark Steel accents and Paul Smith-branded wheel hubcaps. Keen eyes will also notice the Paul Smith branding on the tailgate, which is matched with a Black Blue-hued MINI logo.
On top of that, buyers can only get the limited-edition Paul Smith MINI EV in two colourways, namely Inspired White and Statement Grey.
The Paul Smith treatment continues as we get inside this special EV hatch, where drivers will be greeted with special side mirror puddle lamps projecting ‘hello’ in Smith’s handwriting. The whole interior features Nightshade Blue JCW Sports seats wrapped in Vescin upholstery with a Shadow Stripe knitting, plus a Paul Smith label on each of the headrests.
Other commemorative bits primed here include the decorative black leather band with blue stitching on the passenger side of the dashboard, the special door sill trims with the message “Every day is a new beginning!” written in Smith’s handwriting, a hand-drawn rabbit motif embroidered into the floor mats, some colour splashes on the steering wheel’s textile band, and special background images designed by Paul Smith on the car’s rounded infotainment display.
Same Heart as the MINI Electric Cooper SE
Mechanically, the MINI Electric Paul Smith Edition is built upon the current-gen MINI Electric Cooper SE variant, featuring a 54.2 kWh NMC battery pack that is good for up to 402 km of WLTP range, MINI claims.
Said battery supports both AC 11 kW and DC 95 kW charging methods, with the latter allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes.

Power is sourced from a single, front-mounted (FWD) electric motor rated at 218 PS and 330 Nm of torque to enable a quick century sprint time of 6.7 seconds, although its top speed is capped at just 170 km/h.
