Following its first preview at the BYD Zhengzhou test track in China, Denza Malaysia has finally confirmed the launch date for its most-anticipated all-electric grand tourer, the 2026 Denza Z9GT.
This triple-motor wagon is set to enter the Malaysian market on July 15, where it will also debut a series of new cutting-edge technologies from BYD, including its ultra-fast, 1,500 kW-rated Flash Charging technology.
Triple-Motor e3 Platform with BYD Gen2 Blade Battery
As detailed prior, the upcoming Z9GT underpins BYD’s e3 Platform that features a tri-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup that is capable of delivering a combined output of 1,156 PS and 1,210 Nm.
Not only is this output enough to make it the most powerful EV model in Malaysia, but it also enables the Z9GT to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, en route to its limited V-max of 269 km/h.
To support its hypercar-level power, the Z9GT’s e3 Platform is supported by the second-gen BYD Blade Battery 2.0 with a 1,000-volt battery architecture that enables it to support BYD Flash Charging technology.
Through this, the Z9GT’s large 122.49 kWh battery pack can be topped up from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes and from 10% to 97% in 9 minutes, making range and charging anxieties a thing of a past for the sleek EV wagon.
‘Elegance in Motion’ Design
Wagons are quite a rare species on Malaysian roads, let alone a sleek, all-electric one like the Z9GT here. Designed with the philosophy of “Elegance in Motion”, the Z9GT is set to become an instant head-turner on Malaysian streets.
Some signature design elements presented here include dual line LED headlamps, hourglass taillights, a sleek shooting brake-style long roof design with dual rear wings, 20-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels, and many more.
The Z9GT’s elegance continues inside, where it features a luxurious cabin setup laced with comfort and modern amenities you expect to find in any flagship sedan. Some key highlights include:
- 17.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- 12.3-inch digital metre cluster with an expansive 50-inch AR-HUD
- 12.3-inch third display for the front passenger
- 9.1-inch digital rear-view mirror
- 6-inch LCD screen for rear passengers
- Powered front and rear seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions
- Dual 50-watt wireless chargers
- Multiple USB-C ports
- 20-speaker Devialet premium audio system
- Electric-operated doors with soft-closing functions
- 495-litre rear trunk + 53-litre ‘frunk’
Debuts on July 15
As mentioned prior, the upcoming 2026 Denza Z9GT is slated to make its much-anticipated debut later on July 15, and following its launch, this sleek grand tourer EV will be available for public viewing and test drives from July 16 onwards at all Denza Malaysia authorised dealerships nationwide.
To support its arrival, BYD Malaysia is gearing up to introduce the BYD Flash Charging infrastructure across selected Denza showrooms, thus further strengthening its commitment to not only Denza owners but also the local EV ecosystem at large.
