Following its debut earlier this month, BMW Motorrad Malaysia has announced the final price for the new ‘baby GS’, the 2026 BMW F 450 GS Trophy, which retails at RM39,900 on-the-road sans insurance.
Said price is inclusive of a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty and a 3-year Roadside Assistance Programmes both provided by BMW Motorrad Malaysia. Orders for the new F 450 GS Trophy can now be made at any authorised BMW Motorrad dealerships in Malaysia.
New 135-Degree Parallel Twin Engine
As detailed prior, the new F 450 GS is powered by a completely redesigned 420-cc two-cylinder four-stroke liquid-cooled engine rated at 48 PS and 43 Nm, which is then mated to a six-speed manual gearbox with BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) and Shift Assistant Pro.
What sets this parallel-twin engine with the others is its innovative 135-degree crankpin offset that creates an uneven firing order and provides a unique V-twin-like throaty sound. To balance this, the engine comes with a single balance shaft for optimised smooth running.

As a result, BMW claims the new F 450 GS can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, has a top speed of 165 km/h, and has a decent fuel consumption of 3.8 litres per 100 km.
Some mechanical goodies primed for this new baby GS include a floating front disc brake with a Brembo four-piston fixed calliper, a single rear disc brake with ABS Pro and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), engine drag control (MSR), and four riding modes courtesy of the Riding Modes Pro package—Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro.
Most Offroad-Orientated ‘Baby GS’
Unlike its predecessor, the new F 450 GS appears to be the most off-road-orientated ‘baby GS’ ever produced by the Bavarian automaker, and this is especially true in this decked-out GS Trophy variant offered to our market.

Some key highlights include new lightweight cast aluminium wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear, upside-down front forks with adjustable rebound and compression, plus a two-part seat with a standard seat height of 845 mm and an optional 830 mm adjustment.
As for the off-road-orientated bits, the new F 450 GS also comes standard with Maxxis Maxxplore tubeless all-terrain tyres measuring 100/90-19 at the front and 130/80-17 at the rear, a tinted Rallye windscreen, a bespoke footrest system with removable rubber grips, white-hued handguards, an aluminum engine guard, and many more.
Rounding off the equipment list for the ‘baby GS’ are the new 6.5-inch TFT metre display with smartphone connectivity, a multi-controller on the left handlebar for easier screen operation, a USB-C socket in the handlebar area, and many more.
