Following its first unveiling late last month, Chery Malaysia has now launched the new, sportier variant of its B-segment SUV fighter in the form of the new 2026 Chery Tiggo Cross Sport Edition.
Based on the Turbo variant of the standard Tiggo Cross, the new Tiggo Cross SE is now available for purchase at a special promotional price of RM83,800, while its standard price goes for RM91,800.
Included with said price is a standard 7-year or 150,000 km vehicle and engine warranty, plus six times free labour service.
Sportier Exterior, Unchanged Interior
Compared to the normal Tiggo Cross Turbo, the new Tiggo Cross SE wears a sportier bodykit comprising a more aggressive front bumper lip, plus a matching rear bumper garnish with a diffuser-like element and faux tailpipe cut-outs—both finished in gloss black.
Also new here is the ‘Sport’ badge featured on both ends of the Tiggo Cross SE, and buyers can get this sporty B-SUV in three colour options—Carbon Black, Phantom Grey, and Khaki White.
The rest of the car, however, remains unchanged from the standard version, where the SE still rides on the same 18-inch alloy wheels as the Turbo variant, while featuring the same interior setup with a dual 20.5-inch screen setup that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
Other key cabin amenities primed here include dual-zone A/C, a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, rear A/C vents, a 380-litre boot space with a space-saver spare wheel, and Level 2 ADAS (ACC, AEB, BSD, FCW, LDW, RCTA).
Same 1.5L Turbo Engine
Available in a full-combustion version for now, the new Tiggo Cross SE draws its power from the same 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbocharged petrol engine as its normal twin, delivering up to 147 PS and 210 Nm of torque.
Said engine is then mated to a six-speed wet DCT automatic gearbox that helps to drive the front wheels, while fuel is drawn from a sizable 51-litre fuel tank—one of the largest in its segment.

Despite its performance numbers, Chery claims that this TGDi engine is good for a pretty competitive fuel efficiency of just 6.3 litres per 100 km, which is not too far off from the fuel consumption rate of 5.4 litres per 100 km for its hybrid twin.
