Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia (Zeekr Malaysia) has expanded its local retail footprint with the opening of its first retail outlet in East Malaysia, in the form of the new Zeekr Kuching Pop-Up Store.
Supported by its retail partner Ghee Hua Group of Companies, this new pop-up store is located at The Spring Kuching, representing the next phase of the brand’s expansion across Malaysia.
First Zeekr Retail Outlet in East Malaysia
Located at The Spring Kuching, the pop-up store provides customers with an opportunity to explore Zeekr’s model range, including the Zeekr 7X, Zeekr 009, and Zeekr X.
To celebrate this opening, a special drive-off ceremony was held for new Zeekr owners, marking the beginning of their ownership journey with the brand in Sarawak. The ceremony provided an opportunity to recognise these customers and celebrate their confidence in Zeekr as the brand establishes its first retail presence in East Malaysia.
“The opening of our first retail presence in East Malaysia marks an important milestone for Zeekr Malaysia as we continue expanding our footprint nationwide. Sarawak is a strategically important market with growing interest in premium electric mobility, and this new presence allows customers to experience our products and services more directly,” said Eddy Lu, general manager of Zeekr Malaysia.
Future Expansion for East Malaysia Planned
And as mentioned earlier, this new Zeekr Pop-Up Store is supported by Ghee Hua Group of Companies—one of Zeekr Malaysia’s retail partners, which signed a dealer agreement with the automaker back in July 2026 at its headquarters in Hangzhou, China.
Looking ahead, the newly-opened Zeekr Kuching Pop-Up Store will only serve as the first step in Zeekr’s long-term plans for the East Malaysian region, with the brand slated to open a new dedicated Zeekr Space Kuching and Zeekr Service Centre Kuching later in Q1 2027.
In the meantime, Zeekr Malaysia has already implemented its Mobile Service programme across East Malaysia, bringing essential maintenance and vehicle inspection services closer to customers in this region.
