MINI Malaysia is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the modern MINI’s spiritual home with the launch of the new, limited-edition 2026 MINI Cooper S Oxford Edition.
Limited to just six units nationwide, this special Cooper S commemorates the 25th anniversary of the first modern MINI car to roll out of Plant Oxford, with each unit priced at RM289,888 on-the-road sans insurance, making it RM6,000 pricier compared to the standard MINI Cooper S.
Buyers can also opt for the MINI Service and Repair Inclusive (MSRI) that includes a four-year warranty and service package for a slightly heftier price tag of RM300,288.
Commemorating MINI’s Spiritual Home
Compared to the standard Cooper S, the new Cooper S Oxford Edition features several commemorative design bits that make it stand out and befit its six-unit-only limited-edition status.
The most prominent design feature is the Union Jack graphic on the roof that extends to the bonnet and the tailgate, and buyers can pair them with three exterior colourways—Chili Red, Indigo Sunset Blue, and Blazing Blue, with each one limited to just two units.
Rounding off the exterior changes are the matching hub caps and tyre valves for its 18-inch Slide Spoke two-tone alloy wheels, which also featured the same Union Jack graphic, in case the roof is not ‘British’ enough for your liking.
The Union Jack-ification continues inside, where the same graphic can also be seen on the car’s three-spoke steering wheel, the side sills, floor mats, and even the key fob itself.
Other standard amenities primed here include the 9.4-inch OLED round infotainment screen, black Vecsin faux leather upholstery, a head-up display, a Harman Kardon audio system, a 360-degree camera system, and many more.
To complement this British-themed makeover, each unit of the Cooper S Oxford Edition will come with the MINI Lifestyle Oxford Capsule—a series of daily gear styled to match the car, which includes a traveller bag, T-shirts, a cap, exclusive MINI Oxford stickers, and an umbrella.
Same Powertrain Specs as Cooper S
Built upon the current F66-gen Cooper S 3-door hatch, the Cooper S Oxford Edition shares the same powertrain setup as its normal twin, featuring BMW Group’s tried-and-tested 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbocharged B48 engine.
Rated at 204 PS and 300 Nm, this petrol mill is then mated to a 7-speed wet-clutch DCT automatic gearbox that sends drive exclusively to the front wheels (FWD).
Also included here are the MINI Driving Assistant packages, which offer several ADAS functions such as adaptive cruise control with stop and go, autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, lane centring assist, rear cross traffic alert, rear collision warning, and many more.
