Jetour Malaysia is celebrating the upcoming Merdeka festivities with the launch of a new, limited-run version of its rugged SUV model, the Jetour T2 Dark Warrior Limited Edition.
Launched in conjunction with the 69th anniversary of Malaysian Independence Day, this special edition T2 is limited to just 69 units nationwide, with each example priced at RM167,600—making it RM10,800 pricier than the regular T2.
As standard, the price listed above is inclusive of a 7-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, a separate 10-year or 1 million km powertrain warranty, and five times free service (labour and parts).
Unique Visual Upgrades
Compared to the regular T2, the limited-edition T2 Dark Warrior comes in a single matte black exterior colourway, which is then matched with red-hued brake callipers, as well as blacked-out Jetour emblems and lettering around the exterior.
Besides the fresh coat of paint, the T2 Dark Warrior also gains several new pieces of equipment and accessories, including a redesigned front grille with horizontal slats à la Land Rover Defender and a new guard rail, a modular side ladder, a new roof rack, and a side-hanging plate.
No Mechanical Changes
As expected, the new T2 Dark Warrior carries no mechanical changes over the regular model, as it continues to draw power from the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbocharged petrol engine as before, making 245 PS and 375 Nm.
Said engine is then mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox and Jetour’s proprietary XWD all-wheel drive (AWD) system with up to seven driving modes, meaning that the T2 Dark Warrior is only available in the XWD configuration, not the lower-specced 2WD.
Also unchanged are the cabin amenities, where buyers will get standard cabin equipment such as the following:
- Panoramic sunroof
- 15.6-inch infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- 10.3-inch digital metre cluster
- Powered and ventilated front seats
- Dual-zone A/C
- Ambient lights
- 12-speaker Sony audio system
- Level 2 ADAS suite
