Suzuki Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SMSB) today marks a return of an icon to its local product lineup with the launch of its new dual-sport duo, the 2026 Suzuki DR-Z 4S and DR-Z 4SM.
Unveiled globally back in 2024, this dual-sport duo is now available for purchase with a special introductory price of RM39,888 for the first 50 units registered, while subsequent units will be available at a normal price of RM42,888.
Included with said price is a standard 2-year or 20,000 km manufacturer’s warranty, with both the DR-Z 4S and DR-Z 4SM coming available in two colourways each—Champion Yellow No. 2 and Solid Iron Grey for the 4S, and Sky Gray and Solid Special White No. 2 for the 4SM.
DR-Z 4S – The Proper, Modern Dual-Sport
Of the two, the DR-Z 4S stands as the proper dual-sport off-roader with a large 21-inch spoke front wheel and an 18-inch rear unit, each shod in 80/100-21M/C and 120/80-18M/C dual-sport tube tyres, respectively.
As a result, the DR-Z 4S boasts a healthy ground clearance of 300 mm, while its seat height reads at 920 mm and the whole bike tips the scale at 151 kg, Suzuki claims.
Some other bits primed to this dual-sport include the inverted telescopic front forks from KYB, a single link-type coil spring suspension at the rear, front and rear disc brakes with Nissin callipers and dual-channel ABS, an 8.7-litre fuel tank, and an LCD metre cluster.
DR-Z 4SM – The Street-Ready Supermoto Twin
As for the DR-Z 4SM, this supermoto trades its twin’s off-roading pedigree for some serious street cred, with the biggest difference being its smaller and more conventional 17-inch spoked wheels on both front and rear, each shod in 120/70 R17 M/C and 140/70 R17 M/C tube tyres, respectively.
Given its smaller wheels, the DR-Z 4SM also stood lower than its dual-sport twin, with its seat height now measuring at only 890 mm, while its ground clearance has been reduced to 260 mm. Not to mention, the supermoto also tips the scale heavier than its twin at 154 kg.
Having said that, Suzuki’s new supermoto still gets the same standard equipment primed on the DR-Z 4S, including both its front and rear suspension setup, front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, the 8.7-litre fuel tank, the LCD metre cluster, and many more.
Same 400-CC Single Engine & Riding Assistance Technology
Powering both the DR-Z 4S and DR-Z 4SM is the same 398-cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine that not only delivers 38 PS (28 kW) and 37 Nm of twist but also meets the stringent Euro 5+ emission standards thanks to its twin iridium spark plugs and titanium intake valves.

Said engine is then mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox that features the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) slipper clutch assist for smoother gear shifts, with the final drive being sent to the rear wheel via a chain drive system.
What sets the new DR-Z duo apart from its predecessors are several modern riding gizmos primed here, including the ride-by-wire (RBW) system, multiple selectable riding modes, traction control, and the aforementioned dual-channel ABS—all part of the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) riding suite.
